Arkansas has a mesmerizing landscape, including the Ozark Mountains. It is the perfect honeymoon destination for anyone looking for an exquisite encounter with everything nature has to offer. Not only is the scenery created for romance, but there are areas in Arkansas that were specifically designed for lovers. If that is you, an Arkansas honeymoon has everything you could want.
Visiting Eureka Springs, nestled in the peaceful Ozark Mountains, is like coming to another time and place. The streets are lined with gorgeous Victorian houses. Downtown is a paradise of boutiques, restaurants, and galleries. The mountains offer fishing, hiking, and camping.

Still, there is more. Eureka Springs has an array of the most romantic lodgings available. The Treehouse Cottages are private retreats located in trees. You not only enjoy solitude, but you can also enjoy it in your own treehouse jacuzzi 25 feet up among nature’s own greenery.
If a treehouse doesn’t enchant you, there are the romantic Hobbit Caves. You will find these caves at the end of designated paths leading to the cave entry. Here is pure magic – as well as more Jacuzzis and showers made for two. You will also have your own private courtyard filled with the sounds of birds and other creatures. The hobbit life is a good life.
In addition to exotic Eureka Springs, Hot Springs has been a tourist haven since the 1800s with guests eager to “take the waters.” There are several mineral spas on Bathhouse Row, and they have pampering down to a science. When in Hot Springs, you return to a simpler time. Doesn’t that describe your ideal Arkansas honeymoon? At Carson Hot Springs Resort, you can destress with mineral baths, massages, and treatments for mind and body. This is an authentic old-fashioned bathhouse, the kind the elite flocked to during the last century, with vintage tubs and the warm mineral water flowing straight in the tub. All you need to do is relax and enjoy.

About Arkansas
Arkansas is known as the “Natural State” because its natural beauty is so overwhelming. The lakes, rivers, and mountains are breathtaking, regardless of which way you turn. On the east, Arkansas borders the great Mississippi River.
The Mammoth Spring State Park is located near the Ozark Mountains. Mammoth Springs is a huge natural spring that pours forth nine million gallons of water each hour, forming a 10-acre lake. There is some excellent trout fishing in the Spring River.
The Arkansas River flows through the Arkansas River Valley, which includes Arkansas’ highest point, Magazine Mountain, a favorite hiking location. There are two major campgrounds, the Cove Lake campground and the Blue Mountain Lake campground. This is an outdoor paradise for horseback riding, ATV riding, and backpacking. For more luxurious surroundings, you can stay at the Lodge at Mount Magazine with its stunning view of the Petit Jean River Valley.
In addition to charm and beauty, Mount Magazine also has the largest black bear population in the state. They are used to humans but take care about leaving food trash lying around.
Little Rock is the capital of Arkansas. It’s a musically-inclined city, with the River Concerts series at the First Security Amphitheater, Broadway revivals, and concerts. Most of the pubs and clubs at the River Market District have live entertainment. The Aloft Hotel’s WXYZ Bar has free concerts every weekend.
These beautiful hills are indeed alive with the sound of music.
Little Rock has an unexpectedly excellent food scene. The Root Café specializes in locally and consciously grown food and provides lectures and workshops on the subject. Ya Ya’s Bistro is known for its grandma-style homestyle cooking.
The Big Orange offers white truffle burgers. For dining with a view, try the Brave New Restaurant next to the river. It was voted Best Overall Restaurant in the city.
The Blanchard Springs caves are another part of the Ozark magic. These water-carved caves are lit and filled with stalagmites that are still developing. The caves have been called one of the “most beautiful caves in America.” There are three separate tours, each with an increasing level of difficulty. Blanchard Creek is a terrific place for swimming, and there are campgrounds for staying overnight.
When you are visiting Hot Springs in the Ouachita Mountains, take some time from the mineral baths to visit one of the local casinos for some baccarat, slots, or roulette. Then there are the Hot Springs Oaklawn Racing and Gaming horse races. Even if you do not gamble, the casinos offer some of the best food in the area.
