About Delaware
Delaware is one of the original 13 states. The only state smaller than Delaware is Rhode Island. Dover is the capital of Delaware, and it is definitely worth a visit. It is now a museum (Like the Nemours mansion) with the largest collection of Americana anywhere, 85,000 objects in all, each a rare gem. Taking a guided tour is highly recommended to prevent getting lost.
The emphasis at Winterthur is on the splendid 60 acres of garden. Each Christmas, The Winterthur Mansion is transformed into a fairytale Yuletide fantasy lasting until January 9th.
Battery Park
Scenic Battery Park is in New Castle, one of the Northeast’s loveliest parks. Just breathing in the healing air is relaxing.
