I’ve never wanted to get married in a massive chapel in front of hundreds of people. It just seems like more stress than what should go into symbolizing your love for one another. I’ve always dreamt of something intimate with a gorgeous backdrop that is stress-free. Therefore, elopement packages are the only logical way to go when I tie the knot.
The 11 Best Elopement Packages
The eleven elopement packages listed below are in some of the best destinations and have everything you could need. If any of them are missing a certain aspect that you were hoping for, there is always a wedding coordinator on call to help you. The best elopement packages that I have found are as follows:
Sandals Elopement Package
Sandals resorts have one of the most notorious complimentary elopement packages in the Caribbean. There are over 15 different Sandals resorts that you can choose from for your elopement, like Montego Bay, St. Lucia, and Curacao.
With a three nights stay, Sandal’s elopement packages come with a bouquet and boutonniere, a wedding cake, decor, and the ceremony. A seven nights stay gets you even more, like photography, videography, and a room upgrade.
Between the 17 resorts that Sandals has, there are many venues to choose from. You can get married in an over-the-water chapel, on the beach, in a garden gazebo, at twilight to end the night under the stars.
Secrets Wedding in Paradise Package
Secrets Resorts is a popular adults-only, all-inclusive resort that provides a free elopement package. The package is $999 unless you stay for seven nights or book five rooms for a minimum of three nights. In this case, you don’t have to pay anything extra.
This package includes a complimentary room for one person of the couple the night of the wedding, in case you want to go in a more traditional direction. You will also get a bouquet and boutonniere, a wedding cake, sparkling wine for ten guests, a romantic turndown service night of the wedding, and everything that comes in the Newlywed Package.
What I love most about Secrets elopement packages is they have destinations worldwide to choose from. You can have your elopement in the Canary Islands, Costa Rica, Mexico, or the Caribbean.
Intercontinental New York Barclay Penthouse Elopement
Have you ever dreamt of saying ” I do” with a beautiful city skyline behind you? Intercontinental New York Barclay allows you to do so in their penthouse. The Intercontinental penthouse overlooks the Chrysler building, giving you the perfect backdrop.
You will need to contact their wedding coordinator to set up this package because it’s not exactly advertised. The package currently comes with two hours on the penthouse terrace, the ceremony, photography, and a champagne toast for 30 guests.
The Penthouse elopement package starts at $3,500 but is pretty customizable. The penthouse suite has everything you will need to have the perfect intimate wedding that you have been dreaming of, like a small kitchenette, multiple seating areas, and rooms to get ready in before the ceremony begins.
Crystal Cove Simply Elegant Package
Crystal Cove is an all-inclusive resort located on the West Coast of Barbados. This boutique resort screams romance with intimate settings and charming accommodations. There are many customizable wedding packages available, but their most basic is the simply elegant package.
This elopement package is entirely free with the right rooms reserved. However, it is still affordable if you aren’t eligible for the free option. It is just $842 per couple and includes a welcome cocktail, private transfers, a beachside or garden ceremony, a personalized wedding website, a champagne toast, and breakfast in bed.
My favorite thing about Crystal Cove’s elopement packages is that you can add on almost anything you could want. Floral arrangements, entertainment, photography, and decor are just a few customizable options.
Turtle Bay Makai Elopement Package
One of the most romantic resorts in Oahu, Hawaii is Turtle Bay. It’s on the less crowded north shore, closer to nature, giving you all the secluded vibes. The Makai elopement package is perfect for the two of you to take that intimate feeling to the next level.
This elopement package comes with a three-night stay in one of their oceanfront bungalows, a ceremony on the beach, leis for the wedding, a musician, a $300 dining credit, and a photographer. It starts at $13,000 but is the only package on this list that includes accommodations.
This resort also has some fantastic adventures to start your union in an exciting way. They have a helicopter tour, the Jamie O’Brien Surf Experience, horseback riding, a mermaid academy, and more.
The Westin Reserva Conchal Elopement Package
The Westin Reserva Conchal is one of the best all-inclusive resorts in Costa Rica, being set in a remote location on the ocean. It has over 8,500 acres of land and many venues to choose from to ensure your special day is in the best location.
The elopement package comes with a wedding planner, decor with a ceremony arch, a bouquet and boutonniere, bridal hair and makeup, and a private dinner. There are tons of add-ons that you can choose from to make your elopement as memorable as possible.
The venues at The Westin Reserva Conchal truly set this resort apart. You can choose between a zen garden, the lakefront gazebo, the pool area, an open-air cabana, or indoor rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Bungalows Key Largo Duet Elopement Package
Not all of us have the time or means to pack up and head to the Caribbean for the perfect beach elopement. That’s where Bungalows Key Largo comes in. You get all the Caribbean vibes and all-inclusive luxury that you would expect at a Caribbean resort elopement within the U.S.
Bungalow’s Duet Elopement Package is the perfect package for a couple looking for a package just for the two of you. The package includes your choice of two beach venues, a champagne toast, a bouquet, a romantic turndown service with champagne the night of, photography, and dinner reservations.
You can choose to invite four guests to witness your ceremony as well. The package starts at $4,500 and goes up depending on when you decide to have your elopement. Doing it on weekdays is the most affordable option.
The Ranch at Rock Creek Elopements and Micro-Weddings
The perfect mountain backdrop for your elopement may not be far from home. The Ranch at Rack Creek is located in a remote Montana valley surrounded by the northern Rockies. This all-inclusive resort plans your entire elopement for you, from when you’ll have breakfast to relaxing activities leading up to the ceremony.
Elopements start at $10,000 and can accommodate three to twenty people. The package comes with a bouquet and boutonniere, a wedding cake, and everything else customized by your coordinator. That’s on top of the extensive list of inclusions that are standard with your stay.
Despite this resort being set in the mountains, you can have your elopement year-round. Believe it or not, winter elopements in the Montana Rockies are beautiful, with snowy peaks and sparkling white backdrops. You can choose to have your ceremony mountaintop, in front of the pond, or under an arbor in the pasture.
French Quarter Wedding Chapel Carraige Wedding Package
No one in the United States knows how to celebrate quite like New Orleans. The French Quarter Wedding Chapel has several elopement packages that you can choose from. Although, the Carriage Wedding Package is by far my favorite.
The Carraige package includes a violinist, photography, a bottle of champagne, and custom-engraved champagne flutes. Once your ceremony is over, you hop into a horse-drawn carriage to ride around the French Quarter while people cheer you on!
The package starts at $2,250, but you can add many amenities to your package. You can add guests to your package if you want a small audience of loved ones. They will also provide you with flowers, a cake, and even a themed reverend (Elvis, voodoo, vampire) upon request.
Lomani Island Resort Wedding Package
Located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, where dense palm trees meet the turquoise waters, is Lomani Island Resort. Eloping at this resort feels extra remote, being on one of the smaller islands west of Fiji’s main island. Lomani allows you to get married on their private Sand Cay island to make it even more isolated.
The Lomani Wedding Package is worth $2,645 but is entirely free when you stay for 7 nights in an eligible accommodation. It includes sparkling wine, a fruit basket, a bouquet, a boutonniere, a couples massage, musicians, decor, breakfast in bed, and a private three-course dinner.
There are many additional amenities that you can add to your wedding package to make it perfect for you. A wedding cake, photography, videography, a choir, hair and makeup, and Fijan warrior bridal escorts are all available.
The Little Vegas Chapel, Desert Love
You didn’t think we would end this list of elopement packages without adding one in Vegas, did you? This elopement package isn’t quite as cliche as having Elvis marry you in front of an outdated column of arches and hot pink colors. It’s located in the Mojave Desert!
The Desert Love package is the most valuable package on this list. You will get a roundtrip limousine transfer, decor, music, a cider toast, a unity sand ceremony, a bouquet and boutonniere, two photographers, videography, sunglasses, and a marriage license holder.
The package starts at $2,649 and is available from October to March. This is primarily due to the Mojave Desert getting so unbearably hot during the Summer months. If you want to have the original Elvis marriage experience, they also have that option.
What are Elopement Packages?
Elopement packages are a bundle of services that you would typically hire independently for your elopement. The elopement package is usually put on by a resort you’re staying at or a wedding chapel. All the essentials needed for an elopement are included, so you don’t need to worry about a thing when planning your wedding.
What to Consider Before Eloping
Eloping may seem relatively spontaneous, but there are a few things you will still want to think about before tying the knot. Below are a few of the most important things to consider when planning your elopement:
The Cost
How much you should spend on an elopement depends on several factors. It can cost anywhere from $1,500 to $20,000. The cheapest way to go about it is to hire a photographer to find a beautiful backdrop on public lands for your ceremony and do everything else yourself. However, the easiest elopements are done with a packaged deal.
Who to invite
Who to invite when you elope is purely up to you. It is one of the most important days of your life, so nobody else’s opinion should really matter. You can go super small and make it just the two of you or invite some of your closest friends and family. If you plan to invite a few people, make sure you plan your elopement far enough out so they can prepare for it.
Location
One of the biggest advantages of eloping is that you can do it wherever you want. A smaller guest list means getting people where you want to get married is easier. Typically, elopements are done in places with gorgeous backdrops, like mountains, beaches, forests, waterfalls, or anywhere else you feel is magical.
Accommodations
Your accommodations are another critical factor to consider when you’re eloping in a destination. Some accommodations are great for honeymooners with romantic services and add-ons. Other accommodations may give you a group discount if you reserve a certain number of rooms for friends and family.
Elopement Package Offerings
Going the package route with your elopement can be the most affordable and stress-free way. Some resorts will include an elopement package with your stay completely free of charge. Packages usually include a ceremony, photography, a wedding cake, romantic dinners, and more.
